Sebelum terbentuknya menjadi Kabupaten berturut-turut mengalami perubahan bentuk pertama : Menurut sejarah pada mulanya Kabupaten Enrekang adalah merupakan suatu kerajaan besar yang bernama MALEPONG BULAN, kemudian kerajaan ini bersifat MANURUNG yang terdiri dari 7 kawasann yang lebih dikenal dengan ”PITU MASSENREMPULU” yaitu : masserempulu enrekang

Sementara ini ada delapan ikan buatan  telah dilepas ke ke perairan Bay of Biscay di Gijon dengan biaya sekira 100.000 poundsterling. Rencanaya  robot ikan ini merupakan bagian dari kemitraan tiga tahun antara firma konsultasi teknik BMT Group dan Essex University.
