Bone merupakan salah satu Kabupaten di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan yang beribukota di Watampone, kota yang penduduk rata rata bersuku bugis ini secara geografis terletak antara 4o13 -5o06 LS dan antara 119o42 -120o40 BT

Dan menpunyai gaya bahasa yang sangat khas terkenal sangat halus dikalangan suku bugis. Bahkan orang-arang cina yang datang dan membuka usaha di kota bone sangat fasih dalam menggunakan gaya bahasa tersebut

Daerah ini berbatasan dengan Kabupaten Wajo dan Soppeng di utara, Kabupaten Sinjai dan Gowa di selatan, Teluk Bone di timur dan Kabupaten Maros, Pangkep dan Barru di barat dengan luas wilayah 4.559 Km2.
Kabupaten bone terdiri dari 27 Kecamatan, 333 Desa dan 39 Kelurahan. Kabupaten bone ini juga memiliki komoditi yang sangat terkenal apalagi kalau bukan sukun. Bahkan komoditi ini terkenal sampai di luar Sulawesi dan sangat diburu oleh mereka terutama yang suka dengan makanan gorengan.

Pada bagian pariwisata Kabupaten Bone mempunyai potensi yang besar yang sudah dikembanngkan di sektor pariwisatanya antara lain berupa wisata budaya yang meliputi: rumah adat bugis, Museum Saoraja Lapawawoi Kr. Sigeri, Makam raja-raja Bone, Wisata alam yang meliputi: Pantai Cappa ujung, permandian Bonto, permandian alinge, air panas saweng, Bendungan salomeko, serta adanya tari adat dan upacara adat yang khas.

Selain itu masih ada yang menarik di kabupaten bone, acara pernikahan !!! Pernikahan biasanya dilaksanakan pada siang hari dan sebulum acara dimulai yaitu pada saat membawa undangan perkawinan,untuk memanggil orang-orang penting yang membawa undangan harus 4 orang wanita memakai baju bodo (baju adat Sulawesi) dan 4 orang lagi pria memakai jas. Bayangkan kalau undangan yang di sebar 10.000 mungkin baru dibayangkan anda sudah lelah. Jadi tidak perlu dipikirkan berjalan-jalanlah ke kabupaten bone anda akan terkesan dengan kesantunan mereka berbahasa, bahkan anda tak akan tahu kapan mereka marah dengan anda.
